Women's Black Breathable Parkas & Long Coats
The forecast calls for freezing with a chance of freezing. Which parka are you packing? Our parka guide can help you choose. But you won’t have to choose between the ones that contain recycled content and the ones that don’t—they all do.
Patagonia® Women’s Parkas and Coats
When life gets chilly, our lineup of parkas and coats are designed for everyday warmth that’s as easy as it is cozy. Among them are some of our warmest winter coats for women, including long coats and long down jackets for coverage below the hips on especially cold days, as well as fully waterproof winter parkas to keep you dry and toasty in the toughest, most frigid conditions. With heritage-inspired styling and a more casual vibe, staying warm never looked so cool.
Types of Insulated Parkas and Coats
We offer multiple styles of women’s insulated parkas and long down coats to cover whatever your cold-weather needs may be:
Down: The lightest, most efficient and most packable warmth; the best option for colder, drier conditions.
Synthetic: Durable and worry-free warmth, even when wet; perfect for mixed conditions and higher-output activities.
Women’s 3-in-1 Jackets: Can be worn as a waterproof/breathable shell, lightweight parka, or insulated parka.
What Else to Wear
Though not designed for pursuits with a lot of movement, such as climbing or skiing and snowboarding, even our heaviest insulated parkas for women are designed be as breathable as possible. To most efficiently move moisture away from your body, we suggest using a layering system just as you would with our active insulated jackets and vests.
What Makes Our Parkas Different
Recycled Down: 100% of the feathers used in our women’s down parkas are reclaimed from cushions, bedding and other used items to reduce waste and prevent harm to animals.
Recycled Fabrics: Like 98% percent of our products, our women’s parka coats use recycled polyester and nylon fabrics and insulation to eliminate the need for virgin materials.
NetPlus®: To help reduce ocean plastic pollution, we use NetPlus® 100% recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets in many of our products.
PFC-Free DWR: Many of our women’s parkas and coats use a PFC-free durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated “forever” chemicals.
Fair Trade Certified™ Factories: All our women’s parka jackets are made in Fair Trade Certified™ factories, which means the people who made the garments earned a premium for their labor.
